The Badlands in South Dakota. Shot midday so the light is poor. If you want to shoot this place, I am told that it is best that you do it just after a rainfall. The sediment layers turn vivid colors. Also, because the overall terrain is an expansive, ancient seabed plain, when it is really clear you can expect to see to the horizon in almost everywhere you go.
