Light Fossil Studios: Big Sur #2 - Spring Flowers
Second series in a two part Big Sur series. These are non-typical views. Normally you are so taken by the majestic cliffs and ocean views that you fail to see what is all around you. This year, Californians enjoyed the brightest spring in memory due to the stress on the native plants from a complete lack of winter rains. I have never seen Big Sur, or the rest of the state, with such a spring bloom. Plants are in survival, mode with tremendous flower and seed output and stunted overall growth. All native plants browned out early this summer.
