LightFossils: Niagara Falls - The Rim Part 1 (of 5)
This is the first of a five-part series. If viewed in order, it should give you a walkabout sense of Niagara Falls. Part 1 is your arrival and (excited) walk to the rim of the falls. (Remember, the roar of the water is ever-present) You can feel vibration in your feet as you get closer to the precipice. It is absolutely astounding to see and hear how much water is flowing towards, and pouring over, the rim of the falls. Part 2 is a walk in the cave system behind the falls. Here you get to see and hear the power of the falls in spades. Parts 3 and 4 give you a dry view of the very wet "Hornblower" and "Maid of the Mist" boat excursions. Finally Part 5 provides a sense of the general area - the American and Canadian Falls and the sides of the canyon.
