Into the Mist at Ruby Beach

When Oregon's interior warms up, a cold coastal fog sets in over the coast - as it did his day over Ruby Beach. This is a typical, northwestern, river mouth beach, where countless tons of downed trees have been carried out to sea and returned to the beach by high winds, waves and tides. Not far from here is Nelscot Reef; a surf spot featuring 20 to 40 foot waves.
