Martian Erosion - Oregon Coastline

While this isn't earth shattering or artistic, I wanted to share this because I have never seen anything like it. This is on the southern Oregon coast. What kind of wind and water currents would creates pot holes and mounds on the beach, and then sculpt them with such strange markings? Space aliens messing with us. Yep. Uh huh.

I was surprised to see these odd patterns on this Oregon beach. These are up near the high tide line.
